"A wild vocal", "Boss in her own shop", "An obvious natural talent". These were the glowing praises that rained down on Mekdes when she was presented with the prestigious P3 Guld Talent Award in 2021. In early 2022, she released her debut album, and with it, the young Kolding native once again proved that she is an extraordinary singer, songwriter and producer.

Mekdes has released a string of singles since 2018. She is the woman behind hits like "In Favour of You", "Lonely", "Hanging Upside Down" and "Greedy". It's no wonder she was nominated for a DMA for New Artist of the Year in 2020. And in 2022, Mekdes was once again nominated for a DMA for Producer of the Year for her debut album. Since then, Mekdes has by no means been idle.

She has spent four months in London writing new music, and she is featuring on the massive country hit "Føles Godt" with URO, which ended up being one of the biggest hits last year.

In early 2024, Mekdes will take part in the TV programme Toppen af Poppen, and the rest of 2024 will be filled with new music and new concerts.
