BATHSHEBA places matters of the heart on the altar of pop
The shining pop diamond, BATHSHEBA , released the mini-EP Catch Your Tears on October 20th, once again immersing the listener in a sharply defined pop universe where emotions run free. On this release, BATHSHEBA delves into heartbreaks and the feeling of being lost.
Through the tracks, the door opens to the complexities of love, self-discovery, and the fear associated with matters of the heart. BATHSHEBA describes the release: "Disc 1 is about all the heartache and pain I've felt over the past year or so. It's about losing yourself mentally and feeling like everything you do is inadequate. It's about fearing love and struggling to make the right choice."
The songwriter made her debut back in 2020 with the track "Blind." The following year, she released the EP As Of Right Now, which offered a personal glimpse into BATHSHEBA's childhood. With her exceptional vocals, the introspective singer takes her pop songs to the edge, as was the case at Roskilde Festival last year, which prompted Soundvenue to write: "She was still shining when the concert was over."
In 2022, she truly struck pop gold with tracks like "Surrender" and "Something About Her," receiving massive airplay on Danish radio stations. The latter impressively spent 28 weeks in the top 100.
In addition to her musical performances, BATHSHEBA is known for her activism and candid approach to issues close to her heart. She uses social media as a platform to advocate for justice and serves as an ambassador for the crisis center for children and youth, Joannahuset. With her genuine and honest approach, coupled with undeniable musical talent, BATHSHEBA has become a role model for her fans and followers.
