Existential indie-pop gems from Dolce
On February 16th, the Swedish duo Dolce returns with their third album. The first taste of the album is the title track "Ett Liv," which, according to the band, is about: "An attempt to capture what it's like to be thrown into life and somehow deal with what happens along the way. Learning to walk, being in a relationship, breaking up, petting a cat, forgetting to call back, forgiving, or not forgiving."
Dolce, consisting of Anna Levander and Leopold Nilsson, made their debut in 2014 with the EP Green Heights and have since released two critically acclaimed albums, Av liv och grönska and Ur aska.
On their upcoming album, the band delves into existential questions and memories. It's about transitioning from the infinite possibilities of childhood to having to make life-defining decisions. With an organic soundscape enriched by dark electronic elements, the band tells beautiful stories about lived life. The album was created in collaboration with their friend and producer Mattias Glavå. On the album, you can also experience Alice Boman's captivating vocals.
