Låpsleywas catapulted into the pop-stratosphere back in 2016, when she released her debut album Long Way Home, which included pop gems like “Hurt Me” and “Falling Short”.

Her explosive progress and sudden fame wound the young teen’s thoughts into a Gordian knot. Now she’s back on the international music scenes with a ballast and balance that inspired her to write the new album, Cautionary Tales of Youth. In a press release, she writes:

"I’m now in this beautiful middle space', she says. But you need to experience the extremes to learn where it is."

In her third album, Låpsley exposes the ups and downs of the intense and emotional rollercoaster of life in the 20s. It’s a blend of intoxicating infatuations and broken hearts that are melted into a crisp mix of ear-catching pop melodies, sharp beats and an eclectic remix of Afrobeat, drill, R&B and pop.

The first half of the album documents the all-consuming passion of love, while the last half heals love's open wounds with bandages of self-awareness and bittersweet melancholy.
