Unique Kings of Convenience concert series in VEGA
During the weekend of 14–16 April 2023, the Norwegian folk-popduo will play three concerts in Store VEGA.
The Bergen duo of Erlend Øye and Eirik GlambekBøe invite you to concerts on the evenings of Friday and Saturday evening 14 and 15 April 2023, where they will play A-sides from their entire back catalogue. On Sunday 16 April 2023, it will be afternoon 'hygge' with a selection of the group’s B-sides.
It took 12 years from when Kings of Convenience released the album Declaration of Dependence in 2009 until they were heard from again in 2021 with their latest release Peace Or Love.
However, the record didn't sound as if there had been a 12-year break, but felt like a natural continuation of their distinctive sound, which has led many to call them Norway’s answer to Simon & Garfunkel. Several media – including GAFFA in Denmark – celebrated the duo’s comeback album. In fact, GAFFA gave it five out of six stars, saying that "it’s as if they were born to make soft folk-pop together."
Close to VEGA, by Aldi at the end of Rejsbygade, you'll find a public car park with 77 parking spaces. The rules for parking are the same as on the side streets around VEGA, which belong to the blue parking zone, licence zone Enghaveparken (EP). VEGA does not assume any responsibility in connection with parking, so remember to keep an eye on the signs. Further information about parking can be found on Copenhagen Municipality's website.
Can I take my camera to a concert?
As a general rule, you are allowed to take photos with a regular pocket camera and mobile phone at our concerts. Professional or semi-professional cameras with SLR and/or lenses are not allowed, just as filming the concerts is also not allowed. Always follow the security guards' instructions, as there may be different rules for different artists. Also remember to consider the other concertgoers to ensure that they are not bothered by your camera use. Any pictures taken may not be used for commercial purposes, but only for private use.
How long in advance should I arrive in order to get a seat?
We recommend that you come as close as possible to when the doors open, if you want to be sure of a seat.
